Sugarcane Collins (Returns in 2012)

Currently on his 6th tour of the USA, Australian bluesman Sugarcane Collins is a one of a kind singer/songwriter/guitarist. Beginning in the rough tough bars and pubs of far north Queensland and continuing on through six albums and countless performances around Australia - to juke joints in the Mississippi Delta, smoky bars in Buenos Aires and blues festivals in Turkey - Sugarcane performs his potent no frills blues with an emotional intensity and raw abandon that only the very best solo bluesmen achieve. When Sugarcane sings the blues you see the fervour in his face, the light in his eyes, the veins in his neck. But it is not just as a singer and guitar picker that Collins has made a name for himself in the blues. Few songwriters can match his vivid storytelling. Not for him the simple blues love songs so regularly employed by others. Check out his 'tour de force' blues debut WAY DOWN THE RIVER. It won him the Australian Blues Album of the Year.

Eddie Turner

Eddie “devilboy " Turner picked up his first guitar, a candy apple multi-pickup Japanese Tiesco, when he was twelve. Raised in Chicago, he moved to the Rockies in the early 70's to attend the University of Colorado. More inspired by music than by academia, Turner immersed himself in the local scene and stints with some notable acts ensued. He played in the region’s first punk/R&B band The Immortal Nightflames, then with Grammy nominees Tracy Nelson, Mother Earth, and the 4-nikators, a group which has become legendary for its unique mix of soul, Motown, and rock. Turner got the chance to grab at the brass ring when Colorado compadre Tommy Bolin left his band Zephyr to form The James Gang and Deep Purple. He eagerly joined the hard rock, psychedelic, blues band as a guitarist, singer and songwriter. But, tragedy struck with the sudden death of Zephyr lead singer Candy Givens. Deeply shaken, Eddie took a hiatus from performing music to become a realtor in Denver.
A decade later, when Eddie was invited to join the Ron Miles electric band led by one of the country’s premier trumpeters, he jumped at the chance. Then, in 1995 he rounded out the Otis Taylor Band adding what Guitar Player magazine describes as “otherworldly atmospherics (which) lend a decidedly cosmic ambience to Taylor’s sound.” Enhancing the spice and flavor of the trio, Eddie recorded five groundbreaking CDs, and toured the U.S. and Europe extensively.
Striking out on his own, Turner has released three albums on NorthernBlues Music – Rise in 2005, The Turner Diaries in 2006 and now, Miracles & Demons – all produced by friend and fellow musician Kenny Passarelli. In 2006 Rise was a Blues Music Award Best New Artist Debut nominee. Guitar Edge named Turner one of the top eight blues guitarists in 2008 and in 2009 “Dr. Blues,” a track on Miracles & Demons, was an Independent Music Awards Blues Song nominee.

Sara Brown Band

Sara Brown is a classically trained vocalist with a love for performing and a passion for powerhouse vocals. Sara's style and technique have gained the respect and recognition from top recording companies such as Sony, Motown and Epic Records. In Hollywood she was given the title and trophy for "Singer of the Year" at Universal Studios in 2002. She's got an infectious smile and a voice that will excite you. In 2011 Sara was nominated by the Inland Empire Blues Society as the "Best Female Blues Vocalist" and the "Best Female Blues Performer"

And then there is the band ... Jesse Brown has played guitar from an early age and has continued to expand his musical repertoire over the years to include both acoustic and electric guitar, electric bass, mandolin and accordion. With an innate sense of rhythm and a natural feel for a good groove he ties the melody together with the beat to let the vocals soar over it all. Jeff Curtiss took to drumming at an early age. Always in the pocket with a rock steady meter, this studio musician has an authentic banquet of sounds, from slamming funk to syncopated shuffles. Dave Keeley grew up in the Midwest and was exposed to the sound of Chicago blues and Motown rhythms. After moving to Washington State, Dave forged the local music scene with bands like Force of Habit, Ka-Pow, The DK Band and Dr. Mellow & The Mojos. Playing guitar in the Sara Brown Band completes the circle for Dave and allows the opportunity to collaborate with top notch musicians.

Visibly Shakin'

Ole Johnson (Guitar & Vocals) Born in Northern British Columbia Ole has been a performing musician since he was old enough to set foot in a bar.  His unique playing style has taken him from playing in cover bands to fronting a number successful blues bands in Wisconsin through Wyoming to Northern B.C and now into the Pacific N.W.  An ‘ear’ player, Ole is a lifelong lover of electric blues with a voice that will rattle the windows with an upwelling of power and finesse.
Dave Bergman (Keyboards, Sax & Vocals) Playing piano and sax and bass, Dave’s pro career started in a high school rock band.  He progressed on to college receiving a degree in music in 1970 where he did arrangements for local jazz groups and played sax, Rhodes piano, Hammond organ, and synthesizer in countless rock, top 40, country, jazz and blues bands spanning 36 years covering the Pacific N.W. and Canada.
Randy Maurer (Bass) A 40 year veteran of the Pacific N.W, Hawaiian, and Canadian music scene, Randy spent his first 30 years as a pro lead guitar player.  An accomplished studio musician, he has amassed recording time in the various genres of country, rock and blues.  Due to a need for a bass player in one of his adventure he picked up the bass guitar and never looked back.  His ability as a lead played meant his fingers could fly across the bass fret board like there’s no tomorrow allowing for a steam roller style rhythm.
Lynn Miner (Drums) Growing up in Kansas City, Lynn is a classically trained jazz player from age 11.  While his friends were covering the Rolling Stones and the Beatles, he was covering Miles Davis and Dave Bruebeck.  With experience in symphonic (classical), country, rock, polka, funk, jazz and blues, he has extensive studio time and covered nearly the entire North American Continent, South America and much of Europe playing jazz, blues and high octane funk.
This highly talented and diverse group of individuals has formed Visibly Shakin’ creating the perfect pallet for melding four very distinct styles into a unique take on all things “BLUES”.  Fasten your seat belts when these guys hit the stage – it’s gonna be a wild ride.
